I have never seen a Myford milling attachment, that must weigh quite a bit. As for the burrs: I don't know how thick the piece of brass is, but you haven't supported it very well. If it's able to vibrate the cutter cuts (or tries to cut) away chuncks of brass which could explain the burrs. It weighs 27Kg and is quite rare.
